PG&E WORKERS: were busy on Mill Street Wednesday laying cables for the undergrounding project. The switch will start being made on February. 12 but plenity of preparatory work needs to be done i in the meanime.
A PG&E employee from Concord shows the local
workers how. to get from one end of Mill Street to the
other quickly. Looks like fun! -Grass Valley police report
Police Chief, Frank Knuckey
reports that $1,393 in court fines
were received in December,
$327 for parking violations, $931
for traffic tickets and $1355 on
criminal warrants.
In addition $168 was turned
over to the city clerk for the
various permit fees charged by
the police department.
A total of 14 persons were
booked into the county jail
during , the month while 153
citations were issued. There
were 31 accidents reported with
15 of them of the hit and run
nature.
One vehicle was stolen but.
recovered while 20 thefts were
reported and’ seven of them
cleared. Four of eight burglaries
were cleared.
William Butler assumed his
duties as an officer on Decmeber 16 to fill the vacancy left
by James Baker’s resignation.
