+-Page 12° NEVADA COUNTY NUGGET, Wednesday July 19,1961 ‘Mrs, Henry Hj . troop camp committee. _ chairman of the Sacramento _ Area Council of Girl Scouts announced today that they will sponsor a “Little Roundup” for their 240 registered Senior Girl Scouts, This will Free Customer Parking KNIGHT’S Paint Store § Mill 273-4856 " For Senior Girl Scouts be held at Bass Lake, El Dorado County on Highway 50, September 15 through the 17th, The Roundup is the girls counterpart of the Boy Scouts National Encampment with representatives from foreign countries taking part. The Senior Girl Scouts will be chosen by a Selections Committee to take part in this Roundup and these girls will be selected for their outstanding qualities, skills and high ideals, The "Little Roundup” will simulate Roundup conditions as they will be in Button Bay, Vermont on July 18th to the 31st, 1962, The deadline for the troops to register for the “Little Roundup” has been set for September 6th. Another planning meeting is scheduled for August 4th at 9 a.m, at the Girl Scout House in Sacramento, All Senior Leaders are invited to attend, KPFA Features Festival For the third successive year, KPFA will broadcast the major portion of Carmel’s annual Bach Festival live from the Monterey Pen-. insula community, beginning on July 17. The Festival, Carmel's 24th, will form a part of the non-commercial station's programming every day from July 17 through 23, KPFA is at 94,1 on the FM radio dial. Broadcasts from the Festival will begin with the compete “Art of the Fugue," from Carmel's Sunset School Auditorium, at 8:25 p.m. on Monday, July17.
