California
Fall Out Level
Below Danger
Radioactive fallout levels in
California continue to be far below those at which consideration
should be given to protective ac~
tion from the standpoint of health,
according to Dr, Malcolm H.
Merrill, state health deirector.
The monthly report, he said,
includes the second set of hospital
diet information which, with last
month's date, completes the first
reporting of the daily radionuclide intake through the diet
from all 20 localities in the State.
Airborne activity decreased
sharply from a statewide average
of 2.6 picocuries per cubic meter
in Mayto 1.6 picocuries in June.
Trapping is one of the oldest
occupations of man. It is much
older than agriculture and prob~
ably even preceded hunting and
fishing.
