Shriners picnic here on Sunday More than 1,000 Shriners and their families are expected to turn out for the Sunday, July 28 annual family outing at Pioneer Park in Nevada City. Sponsored by the Sacramento Scottish Rites bodies, the Golden Hills Scottish Rites Association and the Mid-Valley Scottish Rite Association, the outing will start at 11 a.m. with refreshments and tours, From 12 noon until 4 p.m. "Cousin Jack" style food will be served and entertainment will be continuous.
