The Rick Parsons now Wednesday, July 30,1969 The Nevada County Nugget B MR. AND MRS, RICK Susan Lynn Steinbauer and Rick Parsons exchanged wedding vows at an evening ceremony in June at the Red Castle of Nevada City. The Rev. Arthur Herkamp performed the ceremony as the bride's father gave her in marriage. Diane L. Steinbauer of Grass Valley is the bride's mother and James L. Steinbauer of Nevada City her father. Mr, and Mrs, Herbert F. Parsons Jr. of Middletown, Pa. are parents of the groom.Ruth Rockwood was organist, the Rev. R. K. Tilstra sang, accompanied by Dr. James Hazele, Miss Steinbauer chose a Victorian white organza gown with an overlay of lace appliqued with seed pearls and sequins. The bodice was of algonquin lace and the long lace sleeves ended at a point at each wrist. The funnel train, connected to the dress back above the waist, had seed pearls and sequins appliqued to the lace overlay. Her veil fell to her elbows and washeld in place by a headpiece, tiers of roses covered with seed pearls and beads. ‘i The bride carried a white Victorian bouquet. Sheri was her sister’ maid of honor and others who assisted at the wedding include Vicki Waters, handling the guest book, Linda Atkinson, serving punch and Mrs. James Schaar, serving slices-of-the wedding cake. Doug Mitchell was his friend's best man and ushering were Keith Waters and Marshall Apple. The three tiered pink and white wedding cake was cut and served to the reception guests on the terrace garden of the Red Castle. The young couple left for a honeymoon in Pennsylvania with the bride wearing a white knit sheath and navy blue accessories for her going away outfit. Parsons graduated from Nevada Union High School and attended Sierra College, majoring in accounting, His bride is a graduate of Lodi Academy: and majored is social science at Sierra College. Kathy Angove caught the bride's bouquet and Fred Hoffler the bride's garter. The newlyweds are making their home in Middletown, Pa. _, living in Pennsylvania PARSONS Photo by Barbara Snow Check for hospital g OVER $300 was raised by the Golden Age and Ponderosa Senior Citizens Club of Grass Valley for Ward E-1 at Nevada General Hospital. The presentation of the check was made Friday at a luncheon meet at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Grass Valley. Making the presentation at left are Lester Merrifield, president of the Golden Age Club and Al Morris, president of the Ponderosa Club. Receiving the check on behalf of the hospital at right is Robert W.
