Keep a good thought for our Rough and Ready Miss TeenAger who is even now being judged as a possible
California representative for the Miss American TeenAger Pageant. .
Pam Fay and her mother Sue are at Newport Beach
for the competition, July 7-10. Pam will be judged on
achievement, poise and personality and appearance.
“Rough and Ready seems to be developing lots of
friends. News coverage given’ to Secession Day was
wonderful. Radio possibly covered the most territory.
KMPC of San Francisco, in the programs of Al “Jazz
‘Beaux’ Collins, was undoubtedly the most colorful.
The Bicentennial Quilt was won by Karen Isenhood of
Rough and: Ready. The other one, which was really my
favorite was won by Ed Lanoo of Grass Valley. oe
struggle to erect it but for Secession Day is was erected by
our fire department. I saw at least two other husbands
there ;working. Jerrold Jones, huband of Belle Janice
Jones, and Kenneth Bartley, husband of Belle Shiela
