tugging atthe mother's sleeve. .finally
-Out of desperation the mother acknowledged her son..The little one finally

PARENT..One parent wanted to know
why her son might not get adiploma
rather thana certificate‘of completion..
when told that the youngsters had to
make at least a 70% on the county test,
she exclaimed.."But if a youngster
studys hard he becomes a square and the
other kids won't associate with him..
so we never force him to study”..well
there is always beatnik square for that
young man..or else the taxpayers can
take over the job of supporting him in one
way of two places..’
BUT THE ONE THAT ILIKE THE BEST..

TODAY, Thursday, is going to be a
charmer, the City is out in front repairing the water main that erupted last week,
andthe noise of the jackhammers make
me realize that the trucks going by are
really quiet..and besides..now we
can't raise those trout in front like we
were planning to.
Thé weather is really a subject of comment today.:.First rain, then snow up
the road a piece..not to mention tidal
waves..and thunder..for pete's sake
.-and it is almost June..
I just give up..whoever drives a hot
rod Ford, without the hood on..and hit
the fire hydrant in front of the office the
‘other day, probably had good reason to
throw inthe chips..a new Mercury was
behind him and was backing up..all the
while everyone was trying to go up Main
to our intersection by the office..well,
the fire hydrant didn't give, but the fender
did. .andthe Merc..well, it just packed up to where he could turn back up.
Commercial..some people won't even
go around the block these days..but
wait until we. get the freeway, andthis
joker tries to do that..Blam..
Well, this is all for the day..and as
my fortune cookie says.."Get in the
groove, the rest..it will follow"? ?
Guess that means the same old rut. .Bye

mother, Bea Archer who is
with us recuperating from a

excitement that day to last
for a lifetime. We had our
pickup parked right against
the fence atthe far left hand

Brahma bull would run out
and dump his rider he would
head right for “our” corner
and stand there debating
whether or not to jump. Seeing eye to eye with a Brahma
