Banner Lava Cap road
zoning in agreement
Agreement seemed to be general on rezoning an unclassified
area on Banner Lava Cap Road
to single-family dwellings but
there was less agreement on the
density of the area,
Property owners requested
the zoning with each home limited to 40,000 square feet. Many
in the audience Monday evening
for the meeting of the Nevada
County Planning Cormmission,
suggested the density be increased, ;
The commissioners will hold
another hearing on the rezoning
proposal, June 23, and vote at
that time.
Herman O. Fiedler's réquest
for a-use permit for a metal
fabricating plant was approved,
Fiedler manufactures gold mining equipment for hobbyists and
will build his plant on the northeast side of Brunswick Road,
7100 feet northwest. of the intersection with the Town Talk
-Brunswick Road.
Lauren and Norma Russell's
request to build a single family
dwelling. on the north side ‘of
Donner Lake was approved. The.
north side of the lake is zoned
commercial and a use permit
must be obtained before a home
may be built in that area.
The commission also will recommend to the Board of Supervisors that a variance for a 10
ley, was approved by the commission.
Public hearings will be held
July 14 and in Truckee July 18
to consider rezoning Donner
Lake Northern from commercial
to single family dwellings, The
July 14 hearing will be at the
court house.
A public hearing to amend the
Truckee Tahoe Airport zoning
was set for July 18 at Truckee.
Resolutions of intention to hold
the hearings were approved at
Monday's meeting.
