Parkinson's Law
Mrs, Grace Rader and William
J. Sproul today expressed their
gratitude to the thousands of
Nevada County Democrats who
contributed so much to State
Controller Alan Cranston's overwhelming victory in the June
primary,
Cranston led the Democratic
ticket in capturing 75 per cent
of the vote against two primary
Opponents,
Mrs, Rader and Sproul, Cranston's co-chairmen in Nevada
County, also promptly invited
Republicans to join the Cranston
cause for unparalleled good
government,
They noted that Cranston is
probably the only public official
in America who can make the
statement that his office is accomplishing more work than
five years ago -but with the
same sized staff,
“Cranston has licked the notorious Parkinson's Law which
holds that government inevitably
grows bigger," they said.
“And he has done it in the face
of California's tremendous population increase, “
