Tobiassen Engagement The engagement of their daughter, Pamela Diane, to Michael Sturgell has been announced by Mr, and Mrs, Elton Tobiassen of Nevada City, Pam is a senior student at Nevada Union High School, The groom-to-be is the son of Mr, and Mrs, Virgil Richey of Nevada City and is agraduate of Nevada Union High School, Their wedding is planned for the early summer of 1968, Reunion A Family Reunion is planned by the Kistles for this Sunday, July 2nd, at Seamen's Lodge in Nevada City at 1:00 P.M. Albert J. and Jennie Kistle werethe parents of twenty children, and the whole family (including the Parents) was born within the area ofa square mile in Nevada City . The only member of the family still residing in Nevada City is Ollie Peterson, but several other members of the family still live in the area in Grass Valley. The senior Kistles have both passed away, as have the four oldest sons,but the remainder of the family will be present at the reunion. The Rough & Ready Grange will hold "Open House", in the Historic old Hall built in 1857, for the Secession celebration on July 2, There is parking available there and also rest rooms, The ladies of the grange will serve cool drinks, . Mr, Manuel Alameda, whose family are part of the history of Rough & Ready, is recuperating from surgery at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hosp, Manuel was born in a house that stood where . Rough & Ready club made it again with an All-Star and nine other county awards, Nevada County All Stars S$ year are Linda Personini of the Kentucky Flat club and Kirk Pharis of the Rough & Ready club, Other county awards brought home were by Debby Bursill, Debby Peterson and Dave Siegfried who were selected to attend ‘the Junior Leadership Conference and Debby Peterson who was a Medalist Winner in Cooking, "Meg" Sailor who was a Medalist with her sheep and Don Burkhard whowas the Electrical Medalist, County awards were won by Linda ‘Burkhard for her Reporter's Bock, by Debby BursilJ for her Canning, Another first in Rough & Ready was won by Jack Bixler, Nevada County selected, for the first time this year, the adult. who had been the most help to 4-Hers throughout the county, Each club turned in two names, Mr, E.L d won “hands down", (Jack) Bixler of Rough & Ready Almost forgot the most important thing, The cast for the Secession Playlet is Barbara Sailor as E, F, icidact.
