Valley on June 12 toassist California senior citizens in filing claims for benefits uder the new Senior Citizens Property Tax ’ Assistance Law. The representative will be at the Veteran's Hall, 255 South Auburn Street, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. The new law provides for a reimbursement of a portion of the property taxes paid by Californians who are over 65 years of age, own and reside in their own homes, who have paid the property taxes for the current year, and who have income of $3,350 or less, Claims may be filed at any time prior to August 31, 1968. A total of $22 million has been set aside by the State Legislature to. provide for the reimbursements to senior citizens.
