Sisters’ School Still Prospering
Diamond Jubilee of the arrival of the Sisters, Solemn
Mass presided over by Bishop Thomas K. Gorman of Reno, —
who preached the sermon, Rt. Rev. Thomas Horgan
V.G. was Celebrant of the Mass, A program was given
in St, Cecilia's Auditorium in the afternoon. “
For the past 25 years the Sisters of Mercy have continued their work of education, Their elementary school
has prospered listing 205 pupils in 1961. Their high
school had 86 registered and the Business School has continued to train for jobs many young men and women, .
These same 25 years have witnessed the passing to
their eternal rewards of most of the pioneer Sisters,
among them notably Sister M. Agnes on November 6,
1946.

appointed Sister Superior.
