It is expected that completfon of the Grass Valley -Nevada City freeway will be high on the lo cal list of road priorities. The local meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the National Hotel and the public is invited. Jackson Rayburn has scheduled rabies clinics at four locations in the county during the week of Junel2. On Sunday, June 12, residents in the Truckee area may have their dogs immunized from 1-2 p.m. at the county government building in Truckee. T he clinic will be held from 6 to 7:30. p.m, Monday, June 13 in Memorial Park in Grass Valley. On Tuesday the clinic will be open from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the city garage on Spring Street in Nevada City and on Thursday the clinic will be held from 6-7 p.m. at Babe's Hall in North San Juan, é According toRaybum, it is re quired that in both cities all dogs over four months old must have rabies immunization be fore they may be licensed, This requirement also applies to the unincorporated areas of the county. Rabies immunization provides a method of.controlling stray dogs, aids the health departmentin control of rabies and also provides identification in * Case someone is bitten. Rayburn stated that all dog bites must be reported to the county poundmaster and the dog in question must be segregated and observed for symptoms of rabies for 14 days.
