Funds to purchase the globes and dictionaries were raised by the Brownies by collecting trading stamps from friends. The resolution passed by the Historical Society notes Mrs. Dunshee is a charter member of the Marin Conservation League andthe Point Reyes National Seashore Foundation, active in the Sierra Club, California Council, California Roadside Council, California Shoreline Planning Committee, Nature Conservancy, National Audubon Society, Marin Audubon Society, Save-the Red* woods League, Tamalpais Conservation Club and others. It is further noted that she has awarded scholarships at her own expense to the Audubon Nature Camps in California and Wyoming to one or more California State Park Rangers each year since 1951. Mrs, Dunshee has been active and instrumental in supporting or raising funds for the acquisition of. such areas as Samuel P. Taylor State Park, Malakoff Diggins State Park, Tomales Bay State Park, Angel Island State Park, Indian Grinding Rock State Historical Monument, Stinson State Beach, Butano State Park, McClure's Beach County Park, Audubon Sanctuary near Tiburon and Nevada City Historigal Park. The resolution asking that Mrs, Dunshee be honored by the state will be forwarded to Senator Lunardi. At the same meeting it was announced that Harold George, Sr. of Grass Valley had been chosen by the Society to be honored as the man of the year, George,
