$10,000 potiey, be beneficiary
would receive $5,000.
The service officer stressed that
loans from the Veterans Administration on GI insurance can be
made~ only on permanent plan
policies. GI fiveé+year term insurance has no loan value.
Permanent plan insurance must
have been held by the veteran
for at least one year before he
can borrow on it. Annual in-.
terest on GI policy loans js
charged at 4 per-cent on the unpaid balance, and must be paid
on or before the due date.
Permanent plans include ordinary life, 20-payment life, 30payment life, 20-year endowment,
endowment at age 60, and endowment at age 65.
