Wind can make any fire dangerous and sudden changes are common at this time of year. When burning debris, an ablebodied adult should be in attendance with tools and water until the fire is completely out. Also, adequate clearance should be maintained to keep the fire from spreading into nearby grass and brush. Anyone planning to-burn-_large piles of debris or brush should call the CDF before burning since these fires often cause alarming amounts of smoke. It is. permissible to burn incinerators and small piles of leaves without a phone call.
