Best Recipe of the Week LAMB CALIFORNIAN ‘Mix the following ingredients in blender: 1 large onion, 2 large cloves garlic, 1 carrot, 3 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon.juice, 1/4 teaspoon rosemary, 1/4 teaspoon fresh gound black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon coriander, 1 cup breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly until a coarse paste, Pierce large leg of lamb with sharp knife, making insertions at one-inch intervals over entire surface. Pat paste over lamb, rubbing in well, Wrap tightly in plastic wrapper, refrigerate 12 or more hours. Unwrap and bake in 325 degree oven until done, basting at 15 minute intervals with : Pes juice in bottom of pan, alternately with small amounts of white wine. * kK * LAMB HASH Any leftover lamb from the above or similar recipes may be used in a tasty "hash" as follows: Two cups diced, cooked lamb; 1 1/2 cups diced raw potato; 1/2 cup chopped onion; 1/2 cup chopped green pepper; 1 cup gravy; 1/3 cup tomato puree; 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce; 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese.
