for the construction of approximately 290 linear feet of 14 inch
1 asbestos cement sewer pipe and
appurtenances on and adjacent to
Nevada City-Grass Valley freeway right of way located within
the Nevada City city limits,
Bids will be received in the
office of the City Manager, City
Hall, Nevada City, California,
until 8:00 P, M., Monday,
March 29, 1965, at which time
they will betaken to the City
Council Chamber , publicly
opened and read at a special
meeting of the City Council of
the city of Nevada City.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 2710F THE CITY
OF NEVADA CITY ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE LICENSING, REGULATION,
IMPOUNDING AND DISPOSITION OF DOGS WITHIN THE
CITY OF NEVADA, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA. “
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEVADA CITY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No, 271 is amended to read
as follows:
"Section 1. Licensing of Dogs.
Every owner of, or person responsible for, any dog within the
corporate limits of the City of
Nevada City, shall obtain a license from the office of the city
clerk to keep a dog within the
limits. of the city. The license
shallcontain a reasonably accur~
ate description of the dog sufficient for identification purposes, A suitable identification
tag shall be issued to the licensee
and said tag shall be securely at-.
tached to a collar, or other device, around the neck of the dog
for which the license is obtained.
The fee for each dog shall be
$2.00 for each calendar year or
fraction thereof. Licenses are renewable on the first of January of
each year, and are delinquent on
the first day of March following.
An additional fee of fifty (50¢)
cents shall be charged for each
month, or fraction thereof, after
the first of March until the license
is renewed.
Any person who uses a dog to
assist him. physically because of
a physical disability shall be issued a license for rhe dog without
charge. ”
Section 2. This ordinance shall
become operative on January 1,
1966.
Section 3. The City Clerk sha ll
cause this ordinance to be published once, within fifteen days
after its final passage, in the
Nevada County Nugget, a newspaper of generalcirculation, published and circulated in the City
of Nevada City.

check for $2, 184.20 from State
Controller Alan Cranston as its
share of trailer coach fees for the
last six months of 1964.
Cranston said a total of $667,
655 in fees was distributed among
