Although Parsons acted rapidly +to dispatch the proper fire departments to the scenes delays were involved. Knowing ‘the correct number to call could mean the difference of a small fire or one which totals your home or business, Parsons said. Fires Tuesday were in the 49er and Alta-Oaks-Sunset Districts. ; The 49er responded to a smoke filled house on Highway 49 across from The Willo. The cause was a hot chimney and no damage was reported. ‘The Alta-Oaks-Sunset volunteers went to 106 Dolores Drive where reportedly a curtain caught fire and damage was mostly to the curtain and rug.
