ae ee Wednesday, March 26, 1969 Mobile By GLADYS HARPER MOUNTAIN AIR . MOBILE PARK — This beautiful weather we have been enjoying, has brought out the urge to get our gardens and flower beds all organized, and as usual Ennir Anderson has a head start, followed by Ran and Vera Wapole and Paiges. These families have decided to dic up the area in back and front of their’ homes for a large vegetable and flower garden. Last year the Wapoles had luscious sweet strawberries all the summer and most of the fall, along with tomatoes, parsley, chard, etc, All of which they shared with their neighbors, This will be the Paiges' first try and it is good to see how nice that area looks already. And I must thank George (our owner) for the lovely lilies that he planted along the redwood fence. My Sweet Williams are crowded too close together and if I ever find a spare moment I will thin them out. Ray and Vera's yard is a —blaze of color all summer long with these beautiful flowers, and they shared with me. The Nevada County Nugget 3 Livy PENN VALLEY MOBILE VILLAGE — This place has been traded in for property in another area, is the information given to me last week. As of now I do not know the name of the new owners, but do hope that they will work to bring back the beauty this Park has had in the past, and do their utmost to get that stabilization pond finished, as this is the most important factor in being able to get new tenants. This Park is close to stores, post office, and schools, and should be filled with residents, and will be one day soon when that pond is finished. MOBILE HOME ON PRIVATE PROPERTY — Regular meeting date for April which is on the first Wednesday of each month, has been changed to the second Wednesday due to the meeting place, Hennessy School, being closed for the Easter Week vacation, Everyone, please try to attend this most important meeting as there are some things that. need immediate attention. . REAL ESTATE There's @ home in your futere with chemical differences Nervous dogs have been found to have abnormally high amounts of the metals magnesium and manganese in their nervous systems, the American Chemical Society was told recently at its 4th Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting. Whether this means that the dogs' nervousness is caused by this maladjustment-or that human nervous diseases might be treated by chemically correcting the levels of these metals--is not known, said Dr. James O, Wear, physical chemsystem fluid were exchanged between the nervous and the normal animals. The effects wore off in less than 24 hours. The normal fluid had no measurable effect on the nervous dogs. Past research has indicated that physiological and behavioral differences in animals can be associated with differences in these so-called "trace metals" in the diet, Dr. Wear said, But any behavioral differences in these dogs would not be caused by diet, since all of the experimental dogs had been kept in the same environment.
