fiers To The Editor
Dear Sir,
Iam writing tothis famous
little newspaper to express
my views on the proposed
freeway ruaning through the
middle of your beautiful
city. As an educator, teaching conservation and the
preservation of our natural
beauty and our historical
scenes, I was completely
shocked to hear of the freeway.
In my school alone there
are over 1,500 students, all
from a higher income bracket, whose parents have.
less there is some attraction.
After the article about Nev
ada City was published in
Sunset magazine, people
from Southern California
went to Nevada City by the
hundreds. And they told
other people.
I have hope that the in
telligent people of the community will see how valuable it is to preserve our historical places and re-route
the freeway.

It has just been brought to
my attention that a freeway
