The Chicago Park man originally sought $150,000 from Granite Construction Company for the injuries resulting during construction of the Sacramento street bridge. However jurors directed that payment: of $100,000 be split between Granite and Thomas Construction Company, subcontractors for Granite, who had employed Locatelli, The formula for the split is to be worked out. Norman McPherson was foreman of the jury which deliberated less than four hours before voting 9-3 for the verdict. Judge Ronald Cameron of Placer county heard the week long trial. Nathaniel Colley and M. H. Pothaven represented Locatelli and Granite. Construction respectively.
