Resources Subject Of Meet The natural resources contained by some 16 million acres of California 's publicly owned lands will be the subject for consideration when the California State Advisory Board for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management meets in Sacramento tomorrow . The day-long session, called by BLM State Director Neal D. Nelson, will bring together repre~ sentatives of all types of enterprises that have activities based on the lands, The twelve-man board, which usually meets tw ice yearly, counsels personnel of the Bureau of Land Management on the use and conservation of all natural resources, The wide variety of interests, represented on the advisory group, aims to advise toward the highest and best use of the public lands administered under the multiple use principles of the BLM. Chairman of the Advisory Board isBrunel Christensen, Modoc County cattleman. A second rep~resentative of the cattle operators is Lester R. Stewart of Bishop. William M. Beaty of Redding represents forest industries. Felix Chappellet, Beverly Hills, represents the mining and minerals interests. Dr. Gerhard N. Rostvold, chairman of the Depart ment of Economics at Pomona College, advises on urban and suburban development. The sheepmen's interests are represented by JohnB. Laxague of Cedarville and Joe Mendiburu of Oildale. John F, Reginato of Redding advises in the capacity of an outdoor recreation specialist. Frank]. Echeberria, Monterey County farmer and former county super~ visor, speaks for county govern= ment interests. RayRianda, Gonzales farmer and soil conserva~ tionist, advises on matters of soil and water conservation.

Wildlife interests are represented by Homer Harrison, Bakersfield, secretary of the California Wildlife Federation. According toState Director Nelson's announcement, all. sessions of the Fri. meeting will take place in the Federal Courthouse Building, Sacramento.
