PENN VALLEY MOBILE RANCH There will be a beautification program started here inthis park soon. Pictures will be taken before and after, and the Mobilhome that has the prettiest grounds (landscaping) etc. will receive a lovely prize. Ill watch the progress, and keep you informed. One thing I know that with this lovely weather we are having, I'm anxious to start a beautification program all my own, and I guess that this is true of all of us. There is a lovely IRISH couple staying with us for awhile. The name O'Shaunessy of course. Don't hurry away! WAGON-HO Expecting some new tenants soon, right now nothing much happenning here. The Olsons are bowling in the Blue Chip League at the Gold Bowl. Lucky people to have them in their league,-as their living room is full: of ‘the beautiful trophies that those two have won in the past years. MOUNTAIN AIR We are expecting some new tenants also, and it will be nice to have the new section full, expecially when they get their awnings and skirts all installed, and the flowers planted. Takes a while to get things all settled so in a few weeks or so we should be looking pretty good around our Park, Our Cancer Dressing Chapter meets on Tuesday of every week, and the girls are certainly getting those dressings out. Remember all you Mobilhome people, you can certainly help by saving your old sheets, and the large paper bags, and dropping them by here. We are 4 miles So. of G, V. on the Auburn Hwy. ALL MOBILHOME OWNERS AT LARGE Remember that your news is just as important to me as that from the Parks, so if you have visitors, or plan on going ona vacation, just call, and we will get your news in. As many of you already know we really had a swell turn-out at our Golden State Mobilhome Owners League meeting last Friday night, place was filled we were able to get enough members to ask for a charter for a new chapter to be called 'The. GOLDEN CHAIN CHAPter of mobilhome owners on private property. This will be the very first chapter of this kind in all the State of Calif: and we are quite proud of it, and hope all you that are on private property will join our organization and help us fight unfair and discriminatory taxes aimed at our way of living. ICF invites scholarship competitors An invitation to local high school students. who are wholly or -partly of Italian ancestry and Catholic, to compete for seventeen co11ége entrance scholarships of $250 each was issued today by the Italian CathOlic Federation. Application blanks may be obtained by writing the -Scholarship Committee of the organization at 678 Green Street, San Francisco, California 94133, and must be returned to the committee by April 8: Expenses for these scholarships will be defrayed by the Central Council of the Italian Catholic Federation. The Los Angeles District Council of the Italian Catholic Federation has donated two scholarships, the San Francisco District Council,
two; the Peninsula District Council, one; the Burbank Branch, No. 101, of the Italian Catholic Federation, one; the Coloma Branch No, 19, one. This makes a total of 17 scholarships. The scholarships are open to qualified students who will graduate this year from any public, private or parochial high school in California, Nevada or Chicago, Illinois. Awards will be made on the basis of financial need, scholastic record, activities in high school showing leadership. and character, and personal statements. Faculty recommendations. must accompany each application, Purpose of the scholarships is to encourage students of Italian ancestry to obtain educations which will increase their usefulness as American citizens, according to Albert M.
