John Bigley, Jr. and Douglous Bigley, who were seriously injured the night of
Feb. 22 whentheircar
plunged into the canyon off
the highway about a mile below Log Cabin, are still in
serious condition at Miners
Hospital in Nevada City.
They are the sons of Mr.

father Mr. Harold Nelson of
Aptos, Calif. Mr. Nelson
had served as Master of Gravel Range Lodge #59, F. &
A.M. three times and was a
fifty year member. Funeral
services were held in Aptos
Feb. 26.

in the County Hospital in
Nevada City.

Friends here have learned
of the death of Ive Mae Clark
who was a former resident,
having made her home here
with the Clifford Williams
foranumber of years. Mrs.
Clark was 86 years of age.
Funeral services were held
in Grass Valley Feb. 24.
Sometime the package may

Mrs. Marjorie Aitken is
staying here in.the valley
with friends for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Aitken moved
to Southern California last
year. She came up to take
care of their home on Lasso
Loop and visit friends.

The Ready Springs School
children are finishing their
Nature T rail for Conservation
Week which began March 7
and will continue through the
15th. The students have
added a bird blind and birdhouses, weather station, sun
’ dial and many other displays.
The students and teachers are
proud of the results, as are
the parents. They would be
pleased to have people come
and see what they have accomplished andI predict
those taking advantage of
this invitation will enjoy a
quiet walk over the "Nature
Trail".
