The tournament winds up with an Awards Banquet on Saturday, May 13th at the Nevada City Elks Hall witha social hour at 7 p.m. and dinner beginning at Spm. Merchants contributing are: Chick Thomas's '66 Station ge eteemme een Mrs. Chester (Catherine) Loney of Grass Valley may be confined to a hospital bed in the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, but she is smiling and proudly displaying ‘a get well telegram and large bouquet of flowers just received from President Lyndon Johnson. Mrs. Loney was President Johnson's first grade teacher in:a little school in Stonewall, Texas. The play is for kindergarten through 6th grade andis produced by the Drama Department of Sierra College. It is’ co-sponsored by the Grass Valley Elementary PTA and the Community Theatre of Nevada County. The play runs for one hour and fifteen minutes and admission is 25¢. There will be three performances in the Hennessy School auditorium at lla.m., on May 13th.
