Six California boating facilities
maps published by the state's
Division of Small Craft Harbors
last November and immediately
snapped up by the boating public
have been reprinted and are now
available again without charge.
The maps indicate launching,
berthing and mooring facilities
and such related marina services
ascampgrounds, picnicking, dry
boat storage and trailer parks.
Division Chief Lachlan M.
Richards said that while a few
boating facilities may have been
missed due to a lack of information, he believes the maps
offer the most comprehensive
statewide boating guide available.
Any interested boater may
obtain ‘dry ore or all six of the

Slew Foot Sue Will Use All Five
Legs In The Angels Camp Fete
A five-legged frog found
recently in-San Jose will be on
exhibition at the Centennial
celebration of the Jumping Frog
Jubilee in Angels Camp May 20“We don't yet know whether or
not the frog will participate in
the jumping, " said the Mayor of
Frogtown, Vrle T. Minto.
The frog's name is Slew foot Sue,
and she is thought to be half frog
and half toad.
"If she really is half toad,“ said
the Mayor, “she may be barred
from competition as toads are not
permitted at the Frog Jump."
Toads were permitted at theSouthern California Championship Frog Jump at Del Mar last
month asa result of a court order
banning discrimination against
toads. Atthat time the Mayor
of Frogtown made a statement in
defense of the Angels Camp
policy,
“We have nothing against toads.
Some of our best friends are toads.
However, Mark Twain did not
write a story entitled ‘The Celebrated Jumping T oad of Calaveras
County.‘ The Del Mar action
seems particularly inappropriate
in this year of our Centennial
celebration when we are honoring
the passing of 100 years since the
publication of this famous A merican story. Toadswere celebrated
