at Gold Nugget Inn the evening of May 3.
In an impressive ceremony, Harold A, Berliner,
president of the Nevada
CountyBar Association, installed the following officers:

informative talk on the restoration of sixteenth century tapestries. She is one
of the experts in the field of
art conservation and is presently employed by the State
of California to reinforce
and reweave the worn spots
in the tapestries at Hearst
Castle,
The Ridge Road Garden
party and style show, with
the cooperation of five local apparel shops, will be
held June 29 at 1:30 p.m.

refreshments.
"Summer Time" is the
theme of the show with morning casuals, afternoon and
evening fashions shown by
attractive models. Tickets
are available from any club

Show Set
For Colfax
COLFAX ---The Colfax
Garden Club will stage its
Spring Flower Show May 19
and 20 at the Colfax Elementary School.
The arrangement classes
have been given titles such
as "Weaving" and "Woodcraft" in order to carry out
the theme of the show,
"Hobby Horse".
There will be a special
educational class in which
a collection of plants suitable for use as ground covers will be displayed. This
exhibit should be of particular interest to those starting
new gardens who have dirt
banks to cover:
A plant sale and silver tea
will be held during the show,
which will be open from 2
to8p.m, Saturday and 1 to
6 p.m. Sunday.
