Fire broke out around three o’clock Monday morning in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Doolin, in the local Forest Service headquarters on Main Street. The fire crew and equipment stationed next door responded and put out the fire, but not before the entire interior of the building was badly burned. The cause of the fire has not been determined although it apparently started from defective electrical wiring. CAMPTONVILLE, April 30. The will of the late Christopher Myer, pioneer miner of Washington District who had then recently died, was filed in Superior Court by Searls and Searls, attorneys for Father P.J. O’Reilly. Terms of the will gave one-third of the estate to the Orphan Asylum in Grass Valley and the remaining two-thirds to Father O’Reilly.
