A safety seminar for general
aviation pilots and interested
persons will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2, in room 201
at Yuba College, Marysville.
The seminar is part of the
Federal Aviation AdMinistration’s accident
prevention program. F. OQ.
Smith, FAA accident prevention
specialist will conduct the
meeting.
The program will be
presented by representatives of
the Flight Service Station,
General Aviation District Office, Airways Facilities Branch
and Enroute Flight Advisory
Service.
Pilots who attend Wednesday’s program will be
eligible for the GAMA Safe Pilot
Sweepstakes in which a new
$30,000 air plane and other
prizes will be awarded.

Bowling Association has
completed their 1973 tournament with team events held
on March 24 25 and single and
doubles play on March 31 and
» April 1.
The tournament was divided
into two divisions, with a host of
winners in each classification.

* were Ralph’s Bug Shop in the
team event with a 2941 score.
‘Team members are Judy
Fritzsche, Sheron Jenson, Lue
Van Meter, Sonja Nettles and
Jan Scott.
This is the second year in a
row this team has won the team
title.
In ‘‘A” division singles play
Mary Shuck was the grand
champion with a 684 score while
Lou Shiedler and Virginia
Meschell teamed up to capture
the doubles title with a 1,278
score.
“‘B” division winners were
The Rack Ups in the team event
with a 2,910 score. Team
members are Peg Van Horn,
Helen Adams, Madge Purssell,
Salle Sapp and Laura Lundquist.
Singles winner was Shari
Gassaway with a 656 team score
and Betty Dalpez and Sandra
Brooks won the doubles title
with a score of 1,226.
Individual events winners
were Jan Piene in the high
scratch game with a 245; Mary
Shuck in the high scratch series
with a 608; June Caffey in the
high handicap game with a 270;
Virginia Meschell in the high
handicap series with a 687;
Irene Abbott in the all events
scratch with a 1,629 and Inez
Gagliardi in the all events
handicap with a 1,843.
$1,400 earned for
crippled children
JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The
Sigma Gamma Chi fraternity of
Jamestown College reports an
earning af approximately $1,400
through the efforts expended in
basketball
marathon. For the third year,
the Sigma members have
played their marathon game
challenging ‘‘the world,” as they
put it. All the proceeds go to the
Crippled Childrens School.
