May 12 and 13, twelve
members of the club attended a regional meeting at
osemite Park. Region Two
covers four states, California, Utah, Arizona and
Nevada. Members were in
attendance from Utah and
California,
Yosemite is very beautiful
this year as the waterfalls are
just perfect and the Merced
River is full of water. The
red snow plant is just pushing through the ground and
many people stop to take
pictures of this rare plant.
Members of Region Two
spent Saturday afternoon
touring the park and attendeda banquet put on at Camp
Curry in the evening, followed by a program including Guest Speaker Douglas
Hubbard, park naturalist, the
Fire Fall, and Doll speakers,
Alma Fritzie and Alice
Wirth.
Sunday, Brunch was held
in the cafeteria at Camp
Curry and the program was
put on by Mrs, Dora Pepper
of Stockton, showing her
collection of minature hats,
representing 100 years of
millinery. She also gave
_ instruction on the making of
bread crumb dolls.

Nevada City; Mrs. Gladys
Cross, Mrs, Edith Hancock
and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Holub of Grass Valley attended
the meeting from Nevada
County.
