HAVE YOU MET the person who has all
the answers toall of the rules that there
are about any certain thing, and has no
fear about advising you on the how and
why of a situation, but meanwhile is
breaking all of the rules that were ever
written, but is really sneaky about the
whole thing?
AND THEN THERE IS THE guy who attends the meetings..the speaker is getting his point across to everyone but
him..and everyone is nodding in agreehimself orally..he just sits there and
shakes his head..
BUT THIS GUY will really shake you
up..he signals for a right turn..does
not turn at that corner, but goes left at
the next one..
THEN THERE IS THE GALwhowaits on
the corner like she wants to cross the
Street..you pullupand stop so she can
cross, and then she changes her mind
and goes in the other direction. .meanwhile everyone is looking at you like you
have just slipped your Nugget..
THEN THERE IS THE HUSBAND who
says to his wife upon meeting an old
acquaintance.."Dear, you remember
these people don't you?"..and u
know darned good and well you never
saw them before in your life..
OF COURSE..there is the hardluck
guy..he tried to place a call to Beale
Air Force Base..the operator made her
mysterious motions over the dialing apparatus.silence..finallya voice said
"“operatah..this is the operatah, what
numbah are you calling?" "Beale Air
Force Base," saidthe GV gal. "Wheah's
that?" saidthe distant voice. Whereupon the caller saidto the GV gal, “How
come they hire operators from the south
towork in Marysville ?. Everyone knows
that Beale is out of Marysville." And
the distant voice said, "Well, I shuah
don't know wheah Marysville is, this is
Tampa, Floridah." END..
SCHOOL is almost out..a few of the
teachers are retiring after giving many
years of service to the communities. A
rather nostalgic air prevails..friends
that were made over the years will be going their seperate ways after graduation
. .the halls of ivy will no longer resound
with their shouts, their laughter..the
elementary schools will sit all lonesome
(much to the delight of the overworked,
tired teachers) but still, there is nothing
more silent than anempty school..some
of the youngsters will move away, the
rest, andsome new ones too, will return
in the Fall..
