Although the move was just across the street, the new quarters are larger and more modern. This view shows part of the interior of the new shop which will have a grand opening this weekend, Jerry Watson Is On Duty Tommy Kitchen, the present owner, Elton Bennetts, then age 6, an unidentified customer, Anthony Hicks and Joseph A. Bennetts, Jr., former owner of the store and father of Elton Bennetts, Elton's father taught the young man to make change and set up a bench behind the cash register so the boy A TRULY EXCITING Bennetts in 1909. migratory fisheries of California which include the king and silver salmon, the steelhead trout, the the striped bass, shad and sturgeon, “Now that we have the authorizing legislation approved, it is incumbent upon state and federal agencies to get together and get to work on implementing this fine legislation, " The new hatcheries would be on the Sacramento River system ~~ the most important single source for California's northcoastal offshore salmon fishery. One would be on Clear Creek in the Upper Sacramento Valley and another below Keswick Dam near Redding.
