PREVENTIVE ACTION--Members of the Nevada City Fire Department are
shown dousing water on gasoline spilling from a parked car on Broad St.
last week. The owner of the car was evidentally unaware of the situation, but by pouring water on leaking fuel it prevented a possible fire
hazard, should some careless pedestrian or motorist throw a lighted
match or cigarette near the highly flamable substance. (Nuggetphoto)
