She received her first year stripe and pin, also one of the Food Preparation medals. Frances Mitzel~received her first year stripe and pin. Janice Paul . received her third year stripe and pin, silver star and a sheep medal. The members of our club decided to go Christmas carolling agani this year as
our older citizens enjoy it very much. We are going to have to move one of our community signs. Mr. Va. lone has given us permission to put it on hs property. The cattle are using . the signs as. back scratchers at present. ; Our members had.a discussion on whether to fine members who don’t bring their hats and books to club meetings. (For Ron Kolody) s+ * ® PEARDALE PINES Another year has passed, and Christmas party plans are in the air for Peardale Pines 4-H Club. This year’s party was discussed, and the cmomittee picked at a Nov. 14 meeting at Peardale Hall. We had an interesting talk by Doug Hamilton on Diamond Stars. He also answered questions on 4-H Club Record Books. Five demonstrations were given on different subjects. Those who took part were Carol and Kathy Wishmeyer, Charles Milhous, Bob Reberts and Mike Conley. We wish to thank those who bought candy the club is selling for the IF.Y.E. program ; Our club decided to make favors and candy for the. patients of ‘the mento. We met at Dorothy new safety project and NG DAYS TODAY HELPING HAND...Janice Little, paralysed from the ‘waist down inanautomobile accident, is handed the keys to a 1955 Buick Century hardtop by Babe Childers. the auto was paid by various service and fraternal clubs in Western Nevada County. The Vocational Rehabilitation Service Center in Vallejo equipped the car with hand controls. Rehabilitation rules precluded and outright gift of the auto. With it, Janice will be able to accept employment in SacraShown above aré James B. Matson told us the requirements for the first and second year forestry group members. We saw some Slides of the burn area around Camptonville. Johnny Johnson, Reptr. sk *e ok The first meeting of Mrs. Heather’s foods group came to order. Nov. 12. The boys made pineapple upside down cake and the girls made chocolate fudge pudding. When we were through we invited our mothers and fathers to come and try the food that we made. Our hostess was Mary Anne Heather.
