Deaths MURCH---in a Nevada City hospital October 27, 1963, Fred L. Murch, He was the husband of Lennie Murch of Grass Valley; father of Muriel Ivey, Burt, Mich., Marie Thompson, Carson City, Nev., Lucille Eisenbeiss, Norwalk, Frankie Gonder, Sparks, Nev., and Everett Murch, Mendon, Mass. He was a native of Minnesota aged 87 years. He was aretired carpenter, who came to Grass Valley nine years ago. Seventh Day Adventist funeral services were held in the Hooper Weaver Mortuary chapel Oct. 30. Burial was in New Elm Ridge Lawn. tee tt STARK -=--in the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital October 30, 1963, C. Merle Stark. He was the husband of Florence Stark, Grass Valley; father of Thomas Stark, Orangevale; and brother of-MauriceJ. Stark, Red Bluff and Mrs. Dan Barnard, Torrance. He was a native of Corona, Calif., aged 56 years. He was an employe of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Grass Valley Sportsmen Club. Funeral services were held in the Hooper Weaver Mortuary Chapel Nov. 2. +++ ++ MULCAHY---in Los Gatos, _ Miss Julia Mulcahy. She was the _ sister of Miss Josephine Mulcahy and Mrs, Elizabeth Sans, both of Los Gatos. She was a native of Chicago Park aged 88 years and the daughter of pioneer parents. She was a member of the teaching profession in Nevada County many years. During her Nevada County teaching career she rode tothe Blue Tent School on horseback. A funeral mass was held Nov. 4 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. +++ ++ PETTIT---in a Nevada City hospital October 31, 1963, Birt Pettit. He was the brother of Alva Pettit, Montana, George Pettit and Mary Paulin, both of Chico, Mable Carlson,-Alaska, and Hazel Witt and Mrs. Jeanette Rogers, both of Camptonville. He was a native of lowa aged 87 years. He wasa resident of Camptonville and was a retired maintenance man. Funeral services were heldin the Bergemann Funeral Chapel Nov. 4. . +++ tet HARTER---in his Grass Valley home November3, 1963, George Raymond Harter. He was the husband of Sara E. Harter of Grass Valley. He was a native of Ohio aged 67 years. He was a retired carpenter. Masonic funeral services were conducted by Madison Lodge No. 23, of which he was a Library Up For Study Consideration of a County Free Library for Nevada County will be on the agenda of the Nov. 14 meeting of the Board of Supervisors, according to Mrs. Evelyn Burcham, chairman of the Citizens Committee formed to study methods of establishing such a library in Nevada County.
A report, made at the request of the Board of Supervisors, by Florence Biller, Library Consultant of the California State Library, will be presented for conmember, on Nov. 5. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery. sideration of.the board at this meeting. Miss Biller will attend the meeting to offer explanations and answer questions about her report: The topic is scheduled for 2 p.m. on the meetingyagenda.
