AUBURN---The Nevada Union High School football game at Placer High Friday ended ‘up as quite a feather in Nevada Union's cap. TheJunior Varsity finished with a winning score of 20-7, and the varsity had even a more spectacular score. The Placer varsity kicked offtoNU. Two minutes later, Mark Paye, NU quarterback, threw a pass to Bob Thomas, with. Thomas running nearly 40 yards for the first touchdown ofthe night. Gary Parsons kicked the extra point. NU decided it was time for another touchdown, Paye threw a pass to Thomas and it looked like the Miners were about toscore, but a penalty moved the ball back to the line of scrimmage. This did not satisfy the Miners, so Paye againthrew to Thomas, who ran 30 yards before he was stopped. At the end of the first quarter the score stood 7-0. Thesecond quarter started witha bang. Ken Uhl, halfback for NU, pushed through »from the 10 yard line for a five yard gain, Full-back . SPORTS .
