land change
The Placer County Board of
Supervisors has amended an
ordinance requiring land
parcels of more than 10 acres for
placing mobile homes in the
unclassified and farm zones of
the county
The board, by a 3 to 2 vote,
made it a requirement that a
mobile home is not allowed on a
10-acre parcel if there is “a
conventional home already on
the site. The supervisors
explained that in an area where
there is a one-acre minimum
building zone it would require at
least 11 acres for a mobile home
and a conventional structure.
The supervisors also amended
the ordinance whereby leased
land cannot be considered as
part of the 10-acre minimum
requirement.
