Only thing is . somebody might miss out on their birthdays. +++ t+ With all the griping going on about the possibility of having the murder trial of Stanley Fitzgerald in our fair county, I can't help but think how funny it is that we don't have bond elections fo pay for them. Ponder a moment, bonds for new schools have to be voted on, but one man with a ready trigger finger can spend for us all our money. So maybe we should . shoot for new schools? Especially the day before, at therifle range: where the fellows were sighting-in their rifles, There was some confusion with the young men getting their first hunting licenses as they had to have cards to show tfiey had ~ taken the required course. Some didn't know about the law which has been in effect for several years. Still others had not been given their cards or had misplaced them. Young Jim Yerkes was the first tohave a deer validated at Camptonville, about noon on opening day.He got a nice forked horn which he killed near the North ranch, At4p.m. on opening day , Mynot Riddell and his hunting party came in with three fine deer killed at Saddleback. On Sunday, young Craig North got a forked horn near his father's ranch west of town. So--some people are getting them.
