My brainstorm for the week was
straightening out the calendar so that it
makes a little more sense..I figure if
we took the 31st off of January and added
it to the front of February and took the
first ‘of March and tacked it onto the rear
end of February we'd have a much more
sensible supply of months. Only thing is .
somebody might miss out on their birthdays.

With all the griping going on about
the possibility of having the murder trial
of Stanley Fitzgerald in our fair county,
I can't help but think how funny it is that
we don't have bond elections fo pay for
them. Ponder a moment, bonds for new
schools have to be voted on, but one
man with a ready trigger finger can spend
for us all our money. So maybe we should .
shoot for new schools? Bye Bye.

Sept. 24 deer season opened
with a bang. Especially the
day before, at therifle range:
where the fellows were sighting-in their rifles, There was
some confusion with the
young men getting their first
hunting licenses as they had
to have cards to show tfiey had
~ taken the required course.
Some didn't know about the
law which has been in effect
for several years. Still others
had not been given their cards
or had misplaced them.
Young Jim Yerkes was the
first tohave a deer validated
at Camptonville, about noon
on opening day.He got a
nice forked horn which he
killed near the North ranch,
At4p.m. on opening day ,
Mynot Riddell and his hunting party came in with three
fine deer killed at Saddleback.
On Sunday, young Craig
North got a forked horn near
his father's ranch west of
town.
So--some people are getting them. Considering the
dry ceason, the deer are in
unusually good condition.

Why be tied to the sun and an old-fashioned clothesline? A modern dryer lets you
dry a week's laundry in minutes—day or night, any weather! No laundry lugging—
you just push a button and clothes come out fluffy, soft. Wrinkle-remover cycle on
new dryers means only “touch-up” ironing for some things, no ironing for others!
Get a dryer now—and hang up the clothesline . . . instead of the clothes.
