The beauty shop at 216 Colfax Avenue opened officially for business Sept, 20 although some of the new equipment still had to be installed. Mrs, Frances Zurflueh of Grass Valley is the owner of the new shop. This is her first venture into the world of business and the field of hair styling. She is confident that because of the steady business growth along Colfax Avenue that the venture will be BETTY CROCKER CAKE MIXES BEST FOODS LA YER TYPE _ a success, The shop is housed in a home which was specially converted for the business, Unlike the one room character of most beauty shops, the Co-Hi Beauty Corner features four separate drying rooms, At the present time, Mrs, Zurflueh employs four girls, Marilyn West, Carol Pendola, Linda Wood and Carole Smith. When the installation of equipment at the shop is completed, Mrs. Zurflueh plans to hire additional girls to staff all four .
