Concert Association Will
Present Goldberg Quartet
The Twin Cities concert Association will present the Goldberg Quartet Saturday night:'in the
Grass Valley Memorial
Buildinig as the second
program of the season.
The quartet is led by
Laurette Goldberg wellknown Bay Area harpsichoridst and pianist.
Conducting several musical careers simultaneously this past season,
Miss Goldberg performed
in the Oakland Symphony,
gave several solo recitals on the harpsichord,
played chamber musiz at
a unique East Bay restaurant and played the
harpsichord at an unusual Berkeley coffee
house.
A native of Chicago, she
started her professional
career at the age of 12.
She studied piano with
Rudolph Ganz and Egon

Chamber Orchestra. A
series of Bach chamber
concerts produced by
Miss Goldberg, in which
she performed this summer, met with both popular and critic success.
Other members of the
Goldberg Quartet are
Ellen Dessler, cello;
Larry Duckles, flute and
Bill Pynchon, violin.
The doors for the concert Saturday open at 7:30
p.m. and the concert will
begin promptly at 8:15
p.m.

To A Swinging Black Tie Ball
The Gala Committee
anticipates that the 1966
Golden Gala Ball will be
an even bigger success
than last years smashing
affair.
The same wonderful
musSic willbe offered, the
exciting, fast-paced Red
Garter Band in the lounge
and the very danceable
music of Anson Week's
ozchestra in the large
ballroom.
Unfortunately, for those
who havea taste for quail
eggs, they are not in the
menu this year, however
avaried and delicious
buffet supper is guaranteed by Wesley Kato of
The Gormet Caterers of
Sacramento.

attending as guests or as
