Hope of obtaining right-ofway along Perimeter Road with‘out any more.cost to the county
increased Tuesday as another
deed was granted..
The county now holds right-of-way through three parcels
along the Perimeter route,
County Counsel Leo Todd reported.
In addition, agents for William
Steen have indicated right-ofway will be donated through
his parcels, which would raise
the total to. more than half the
nine properties through which
the road traverse, Todd said.
Todd said the Steen dedications have not been made yet,
but he has been told "they are
coming. It would be a big step
if we get them,"
Steen's representative, attorney Frank Francis, asked the
board recently to take action to
‘open the road, including condemnation if necessary.
The county has been talking for
years about opening this dirt
road to the Camp Far. West
recreation area; but only this
year obtained title through condemnation to the first right-ofway oe the route,
