NORTH SAN JUAN NEWS
I just breezed back froma
weeks stay in San Francisco (it's
still there!)
I took Tamara to Presbyterian
Medical Center tor tests. She will
have open heart surgery in about”
three months, Johnny went with
us and took in the zoo and things.
Westayed with my brother, Alan,
in Brisbane. Boywhat a town!
Brisbane is an almost vertical
small town perched next to the
bay of San Francisco and you can
wear Levi's.

Marge Phillips had her seventeenth birthday party last week.
Dick gave her $50 to spend on
anything she wanted. Pretty nice
brother I'd say.
++ +++
Both of Kit Orr's sisters and
families were here for a visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Fay Peterson of
Caldwell, Idaho, and Mrs. Alberta Leochner and daughtér,
Shirley of Denver, Colorado spent
four days at French Corral.
++ +++
Edith Haverty has started a
childrens choir at the Methodist
Church. The children sing for the
church one Sunday a month.
++ +++
The Teenage Club is having a
Halloween party Saturday night
and Shady Creek 4H and MYF
will “Trick or Treat for UNICEF”
Thursday night. Afterwards they
will have a party at the home of
Mark Covert.

I called Juanita Patterson for
news. All she had was that after
two storms Pat has begun discus~sing putting in new glass in the
broken windows. Their situation
is almost asbad as ours, We have
a two inch crack between the
floor and the wall in the living
room and kitchen that extends
some thirty feet. At least we have
no dead air problem now and all
of the frogsthat Tami and Johnny
bring in can escape... but little
creatures can also get in. Last
week a fair to middling sized
rattler greeted me inthe hallway.
Hoho...he took one good look at
me and crawled back outside.

IN CALIFORNIA
BEER IS A NATURAL
From nature’s light grain comes sparkling, light beer...
California’s traditional beverage of moderation—it’s light,
sparkling, delicious.
And naturally, the Brewing Industry in California is proud
of the more than ten million tax dollars it contributes to
the state of California each year— money that helps support our schools, our hospitals and our parks. In California, beer belongs— enjoy it.
