I took Tamara to Presbyterian Medical Center tor tests. She will have open heart surgery in about” three months, Johnny went with us and took in the zoo and things. Westayed with my brother, Alan, in Brisbane. Boywhat a town! Brisbane is an almost vertical small town perched next to the bay of San Francisco and you can wear Levi's. ++ +++ Marge Phillips had her seventeenth birthday party last week. Dick gave her $50 to spend on anything she wanted. Pretty nice brother I'd say. ++ +++ Both of Kit Orr's sisters and families were here for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Peterson of Caldwell, Idaho, and Mrs. Alberta Leochner and daughtér, Shirley of Denver, Colorado spent four days at French Corral. ++ +++ Edith Haverty has started a childrens choir at the Methodist Church. The children sing for the church one Sunday a month. ++ +++ The Teenage Club is having a Halloween party Saturday night and Shady Creek 4H and MYF will “Trick or Treat for UNICEF” Thursday night. Afterwards they will have a party at the home of Mark Covert. ++ +++ I called Juanita Patterson for news. All she had was that after two storms Pat has begun discus~sing putting in new glass in the broken windows. Their situation is almost asbad as ours, We have a two inch crack between the floor and the wall in the living room and kitchen that extends some thirty feet. At least we have no dead air problem now and all of the frogsthat Tami and Johnny bring in can escape... but little creatures can also get in. Last week a fair to middling sized rattler greeted me inthe hallway.
