A record freshman class of

Hooper reported 40 new students
to the district on the first day
of school. Peak attendance is
expected later this month.
The ''scramble" method of
registration came off rather
smoothly Hooper stated. This

from counselors and parents,
Superintendent Gerald Gelatt

A conditional resolution was
passed which authorized the superintendent to advance district

plan places the high school district in full control of the construction. Approximately $200,000 worth of securities will be
delivered by Lakeworld to the
district within the week, They
will be sold and the money place¢
in a special, interest-bearir
fund. Bids will be then sought
and construction scheduled as
soon as possible. Preliminary
plans must clear the state bureau of planning and an $800’
fee is required for processing.
The district high school is now
ready to proceed upon receipt
of the securities.
