6 The Nevoda County Nugost Wednesday, September 17, 1969 Chappie to be honored L. Tahoe The famed Kaiser Estate along the shore of North Lake Tahoe will be the setting for a testimonial event on Sunday honoring Assemblyman Gene Chappie. Estate owners Mr, and Mrs. James Viso will host the "Pier Party’ from noon to 3 p.m. ‘Phe testimonial will be sponsored by the North Lake Tahoe Republican Women (NLTRW) and tickets will be $5.00. Sponsors and host are hopeful Lt, Gov. Ed Reinecke can also attend. The program will include a tour of the famed estate, a buffet luncheon, and boat rides. Casual or informal attire will be appropriate for the outdoor events. The estate is now the site for. extensive ecological studies by eminent scientists from here and abroad. "We think it's a wonderful opportunity for friends of Assemblyman Chappie to say hello, and see one of America's most famous estates, too," said Mrs. Dean Ormsby, North Lake Tahoe Republican Women's President. REENACTMENT OF THE sigining of the United States Constitution was one of the highlights of Sunday's event sponsored by Nevada Lodge of Masons.
