AT YOUR LOCAL SC HOOLHOUSE OR OTHER POLLING PLACE SIERRA COLLEGE BELONGS TO YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN and only you can approve the proposed "step two" building program necessary to keep the college ready and able to serve the needs of the community. Voters of the district overwhelmingly approved initial construction of the college campus in 1957 when you approved bonds which cost 23 cents intaxrate increase. Thanks tocontinued growth of the district and willingness of Nevada County to become a full partner in the district and to share that initial expense, the building tax rate has already been reducedto 13 cents. Next Tuesday's bond issue of $2.5 million can be financed for about eight cents, a figure which would make the total college building tax lower than it was six years ago. This issue is a sound one, based on planning begun several years Jago. The new buildings ‘are needed. The college already has 1260 daytime students in facilities designed for 950, and needs a place for the 2000 students expected in the next several years. The issue has been:endorsed by-manyindividuals and groups, some of whom are listed below. But the endorsements which are essential are those which are counted only at the polls.
