Mrs. Olive Hays, 72, died August
30th in Bakersfield, where she
has
been
living
with
her
daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Kessler,
for the past few years.
She was a native of Camptonville and a member of an oldtime family, being the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Miles (Glent)
Calvin. She was the widow of
Eugene H. Hays, who for many
years was the driver of the
Marysville-Camgptonville -stage.
She spent a few of:her ‘later
>-years at Browns Valley, but
resided here most of her life.
She is survived by her
daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Kessler,
of Bakersfield; a sister, Mrs.
Irene D. Bishop, of Grass Valley
and two grandchildren.
