Proposals will be opened Nov. 17 in Sacramento with $237, 800 available for the project including $125,120 in federal funds, $84,820instate matching funds and $27,860 to be paid by the county. The new, wider structures will be built on new alignment across Squirrel Creek and Deer Creek. New approaches will also be built, according to Meade. Pleasant Valley Road is part of the Federal Aid Secondary System and is included in a statewide program for upgrading important county roads to modern standards. The project was _ initiated by Nevada County board of supervisors and plans and specifications were developed under Meade's direction in cooperation withthe State Division of Highways.
