The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Henry G.
Loehr, at 10:05 A. M. and all members.of the Board were noted as

The Auditor presented the Board with a request for a ninety-day FOR SALE.
leave of absence for the Chief Building Inspector. Action on the
request was deferred until October 1, 1963.
The Auditor presented the Board with a Claims Register, showing
thereon the Claims due and payable by the County of Nevada, and
upon motion the Chairman was authorized to sign the Claims Register, thereby, releasing the following warrants for payment.

The Clerk presented the Board with proposed Resolutions 63-142
through 63-149 (Resolutions accepting the Roads of the Mayflower
Estate). Upon motion the Resolutions were adopted.
The County Hospital Administrator appeared before the Board and
rendered a report on his Department.,
The Welfare Director appeared before the Board and rendered:a
report on the impact of the 1963 Legislation, concerning the investigative duties formerly performed by the District Attorney 's Office. The matter was deferred until October 1, 1963.
The Clerk presented the Board with proposed Resolution 63-150
(a Resolution certifying the results of the Ophir Hill Fire District
Election). Upon motion the Resolution was adopted.
Proposed Resolution 63-151 was presented by the Clerk, authorizing the Chairman to sign an agreement with Herrmann and
Schenk, Contractors. Upon motion the Resolution was adopted.
Proposed Resolution 63-152 (a Resolution of intention to purchase
real property) was presented to the Board and upon motion the ResoHaitian Bean Beads

A report was rendered by Supervisors Blake and Ricker, concerning the imiplementation of the Uniform Plumbing and The National
Electrical Code. The matter was continued.
The County Purchasing Agent appeared before the Board and
rendered the report of his department.
Proposed Resolution 63-153 (a Resolution approving a United
States Forest Service Land Exchange) was presented to the Board.
Upon motion, was approved as presented.
Upon motion the Board adjourned for lunch to reconvene at 1:30
P.M,
AFTERNOON SESSION:.
The Board reconvened at 2:00 P.M. and it was noted all members of the Board were present.
The County Assessor appeared before the Board, and explained
the recent action of the State Board of Equalization, with regard to
assessment ratio in Nevada County. The Chairman appointed Supervisors Hennessy, and Bishop, to meet with the Assessor, to explore
methods of og maa pein State Board of Equalization Ruling.
Mr. Harold W , appeared before the Board as a member of
theBoard of Trustees of Sierra College, and requested the Board to
to endorse the Bond Issue Election for Sierra College, to be held on
September 24, 1963. Upon motion the Bond Election was endorsed
by the Board.
Mr. E.A. Bailey, appeared before the Board and presented the
Board with a proposal to create the Sierra Water Shed Authority.
The matter was taken under advisement.
Mr. John Holtom appeared before the Board and filed petitions
and supplemental petitions to create a special assessment district
on the South Shore of Donner Lake, under the 1913 Municipal Improvement Act. The petitions were referred to the Screening Com‘. & yard work, reasonable: Call

presented proposed Resolution 63-154 & 63-155 (Resolutions certifying the Pleasant Valley Road right-of-way. Upon motion the resolutions were adopted.
