The Nevada City Little League made their second annual trip to Candlestick Park. We left Seven Hills School at approximately eight o'clock in two buses, The minor league in one and the major league rode in the other. After we were on the road for awhile, Ralph Childers, (Little League president) , gave us all a little slip of paper with a number on it, he wouldn't tell us what it was for. After he finished passing them out he called two numbers and Larry Wilson (Yankees) and David Townsend (Indians) hadthem, Sothey got to see Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons (radio sportscasters forthe Giants games). We then traveled on andwe saw the capitol when we went through Sacramento. Then we stopped at the Milk Farm and got something to eat and a drink, After about fifteen minutes there, we traveled on to San Francisco, We got to Candlestick Park about fifteen to one and ate our lunch. Then the game started, The Braves were up, Jack Sanford was pitching. After about fifteen minutes the Braves were out. Then the Giants were up. Kuenn (Giants lf) was out then Davenport was out.
